The New Zealand Observer has recently entered upon its 40th year of existence. It has, during those years, become a popular and widely read newspaper, favoured for the excellence and virility of its writings and the originality of its drawings. Lately, the circulation has made a phenomenal jump, and the proprietors have decided to reward patrons by publishing a complete pictorial record of the war, comprising a selection of Bio s cartoons from 1914 to 1919. It is hoped that these will prove acceptable to the many who have already seen them and to those who have not been afforded the opportunity. This week's number contain 64 pages, a record, and features besides the drawings, special articles and verse. The price is 6d per copy. In this respect, the proprietors wish to state that owing to the continued high price of paper, the charge will in future be 6d per copy However, each number wili contain 32 pages instead- of 24, with a host of new attractions.
