ST. LUKES CHURCH, REMCERA.
! A welcome social to the Rev. C. J. Tocker, of Ger&ldine, who on Tuesday was inducted as pastor of St. Luke's (Presby- ! terian) Church, Remuera, was held in the I Church Hall last evening. The Rev. j Jolly, who acted as interim moderator of the church since it became vacant two years *»>, presided, nod there wa« a ; large attendance. Addresses of welcome i were made by the Rev. George .baud, moderator of the Auckland Presbyterian the Rev. W. Beatty, vicar of St. Mark's (Anglican) Church, JR<?muera, and Mr. H-. B. Burnett, on behalf of the session, board of managers, and congregation! ' Mr. J. Dempsey, for the board of managers, presented* Mr. Jolly with a nurse of sovereigns as a slight token of his work ias interim moderator. Glees were sung by the choir, and solos were contributed by Mrs. Hood, -Messrs. Mortimer, and Camobell. F
