A STARTLING EXPERIENCE.
FIRE OS RIVER STEAMER. A starting experience befell the crew of the river steamer Free Trader on Mondav, when the vessel was going from Hamilton to Cambridge. A fire was discovered among 60 cases of benzine on the deck. The vessel was promptly secured to the bank, and after strenuous effort? the fire was extinguished with wet sack?. It was found that one tin of benzine had leaked. And the fumes had become ignited. A number of cases were charred, but it? tins were damaged^
