APPLES FOR EXPORT.
HEAVY CROP EXPECTED.
BETTER FACILITIES WANTED. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] NELSON, Wednesday.
A meeting of the Stoke Fruitgrowers' Association discussed the export trade, and a resolution was adopted declaring that, in view of indications of a particularly heavy crop of apples in the coming season, it is essential that ample provision be made for export to South American and Home markets, on the lines of the Industries Committee recommendation, failure in this direction meaning serious loss to orchardiste, who for four years have laboured under the disadvantage of no export.
