GRADING OF TEACHERS.
POSITION IN AUCKLAND. AN INQUIRY SUGGESTED. ! [ [BY TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL BEPOBTEB.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday The controversy which has arisen over the grading of teachers in Auckland was the subject of a Question of which notice was given in the House of Representatives this afternoon by Mjr. A. Harris (Waitemata). The question addressed to the Prime Minister was whether he would allow the Education Committee of the House to inquire into the matter for the purpose of ascertaining the true position and of relieving the present tension, and whether in the course of such inquiry he would allow representatives of the teachers concerned to give evidence before the committee.
