. ■"■■. ■■«» ■'....... PRESENTATION OP BADGES. r & pleasing function took place at the Northcote District School yesterday afternoon, when the presentation of merit and prefects' badges were made. Brief ad- • dressee were given by the headmaster, Mr. iW- I' Wernham, the acting-chairman of l the School Committee, Mr. R. Darlow I and tho Mayor of Northbote, Mr A E i Oreensiade. Twelve prefects' badges were ' distributed by the Mayor and Mrs. G. Lyon, and forty-four merit badges by Mrs. A. Taylor and Mr. Parlow.
