A "HOME-MADE" WILL.
QUESTION OF INTERPRETATION.
A question of iterprefcation of the will of the late Mrs. Jane Ashton, of Auckland formed the subject of an originating summons heard by Mr. Justice Chapman at the Supreme Court yesterday. The plaintiffs' were Arthur John Lucas and Charles Henry Lucas, grandsons of the testator (Mr. Endean), and the defendant was the eiecutcr under the will, Mr. David Goldie (Mr. Macky). The will was described as " home-made.'' and the Court was asked to decide; whether the two grandsons took certain freehold property in George Street, Auckland, absolutely, or whether the conditions in the will relating to the property were binding on the trustee. His Honor reserved his decision.
