LIABILITY OF EMPLOYER BOARD. Answering the question whether a hospital board can bp considered liable in a ease -where■ an officer contracts an infectious disease in the course of his ordinary duties as an inspector, the .Journal of" Public Health atutes that the matter is not covered by statute law at present, in Now Zealand. The Workers' Comnenjsation Act deals only with cases of injury by accident and certain specified industrial disease» An inspector incur* the ordinary risJis 0 f his occupation, and unless a special contract has been entered into by a beard it is not directly liable.
