I OAMABD. Monday. Information was received this afternoon ! of a fatal motoring accident at Hillgrove, ! by which Mrs. J. Mahoney, wife of a farJ mer at Enfield, wae killed. i It appears that a party of four was on I j the'way to Dunedin in a car owned and 1 driven by Mr. John Mahoney, the others J being Mrs. Hahbney, Miss Mahoney, and ' Mr. Duncan Cameron. At a sharp cor- j j ner of the Kartiki Road they met a dray, j I and to avoid a collision the car was turned j j into a bank and capsized. | J Mrs. Mahoney was thrown out violently ' and killed instantaneously. Miss Mahoney ; had her jawbone broken, besides injuries 'to her hip. Mr. Cameron received slight j injuries, while Mr. Mahoney escaped unscathed. Mrs, Mahoney was 61 years of

NAPIER, Monday.
Dennis Crowlev, for. many years a resident of Give, was knocked down by a car at Give and killed. He 'was crossing the road and became confused on. the approach of a car- driven from Hastings to Namer with a load of hockey players. An inquest was opened on Saturday evening, and was adjourned.

NAPIER, Monday. Another motor accident occurred to-day, when Jack Fox, aged four years, a son of Conductor Fox, of the City Band, was run over by a motor-car on Marine Parade. His thigh and skull are fractured, and ho is in the hospital in a serious state.

No details are available except that the deceased was one of a party in a car driven by her father, and that j she was killed by the car overturning. i
FOUND UNCONSCIOUS ON ROAD.
CAR-DRIVER FAILS TO STOP. [BT telegraph.—press ASSOCIATION.! NAPIER. Monday. A clerk named William James Munro was found unconscious on Napier Terrace, having been run ever by a motor-car, which had driven on, leaving him lying on the road. The driver of the car has not been discovered.
