THE JAPANESE SQUADRON.
EARLY VISIT TO AUCKLAND, ' TWO TEAINING VESSELS. Official advice has been received by the honorary Consul to Japan, Mr. H. D. Heather, that the Japanese training squadron, consisting of H.I.J.M.'s ships Tckiwa and Azuma, under the-command of His Excellency Vice-Admiral Nakano. will visit Auckland shortly. Tha original itinerary included several ports in Australia, but information has been received that it has not yet been decided whither the. squadron will proceed after leaving Fremantlo. This change has been brought about owing to tbo epidemic of influenza in the Commonwealth.
According to previous information, the ships were due to arrive at Auckland on • June 4.
