DEPLETED COAL STOCKS.
POSITION OF GAS COMPANY. 1 INCREASING SERIOUSNESS. FEW DAYS' SUPPLY ONLY. There have been no developments with regard to the low stocks of coal held by the Auckland Gas Company. It' is still hoped to avert a restriction of the hours of supply of gas, but the position is becoming increasingly serious. Including shipments now being discharged, tho company has only sufficient coal to last a few days. The company has received no definite advice as to supplies from tho Government.
