" The badge of the association is now protected nnder tho Military Decorations and Distinctive Badges Act, 1018. and any unauthorised person in possession of the badge of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association is liable to prosecution," states the annual report of the Wellington Association. "We would again stress the fact that the badge is the property of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, and not the property of a local association or member. Action will be taken to havo memberfhip of unfinancial members cancelled, and the badge must then be returned. Legal action will otherwise be taken. Badges of deceased men may be retained by their relatives, but are not under any circumstances to be worn." . I
