FIRE IN WELLINGTON.

PAINT STORE GUTTED. STOCK VALUED AT £10,000. [by teleoeaph.— association.] WELLINGTON. Friday. A fire broke out to-night in a twostoreyed brick building in Lower Taranaki Street, ufed by T. A. Wells as a paint store. The building was completely gutted and tho stock of paints and wallpapers, which was valued at £10,000, was totally destroyed. The insurances on the stocfi are held by the Guardian Insurance Company £3000, Phoei.ix £2000, and the South British £1800. The building, which was held on lease from tho estate of the late William Fox, was insured for £800.
