RANGITOTO.
Soy-The future Greater Auckland or Dovonport will be having one of the best domains in tho Dominion on the island of Rangitoto. On Easter Monday it wa* ray pleasure, with hundreds more, to spend a day among the rocks and caves there. I wa« bewildered with its beauty. It is still almost in its natural state, and the question is how to improve it. No doubt finances are very low, but a penny toll on all passengers is also very low, ana another penny would be a big help. Besides, on the eastern side of the island small summer cottages could be erected, and brag revenue. Also, a stone-crusher on he island would be profitable. _ Ha. ing lived for 61 years in the province, and over 30 of that a miner, I still hope to live to see its beauty improved. April 24, 1919. F.
