BRITISH ADMIRAL'S STRATAGEM.

A 6tory of the stratagem by which Admiral Hall brought about the arrest of a German spy is now told. The spy, a naval officer masquerading as an American, was known to be trying to return to many through London and Holland. A passenger who was arriving at a London station was believed to be the man. Admiral Ilall turned up at the station in uniform and questioned the suspect. The man, however, had all his papers, and his American accent was good. Suddenly the admiral shouted to him in German: " How dare you stand like that when you are speaking to a superior officer?" The suspect straightened his back, his heels r'irked, and his hand was half way up to the salute before he could control himself. It was then too lato, and after the arrest tho proofs were found.
