BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

Leading investment stocks -were again in good demand yesterday on the sharemarket. National Banks had Boilers at £6 lis. New Zealands were in demand nt £13 13s, sellers asking £14. Fully paid issue were looked for at £18 7s, with no sellers offering. Sales of Hew Zealand Insurances at £12 15s were reported, other sellers holding for £12 17s, with buyers offering £12 13s. South British were in demand at £7 10s 6d, sellers £7 14s. In finance lines Loan and Mercantiles were inquired (or at £104, with no sellers offering. Sales were reported in the preference issue at £69. In shipping HuddartParkers had reported sales at 395, further buyers offering 38s 6d, sellers 39s 6d. Brisk business was transacted in Auckland Tiamways, parcels being sold at tho moraine call at 21s 6d, 21s 9d, and 225, At the noon call sales wore made at 22s and 21s 9d, while further business was transacted in the afternoon at similar figures. The closing quotations were buyers 21a 9d> sellers 225. Buyers offered 18s for the preference i«ue, sellers 20s. For Colonial Sugar (Australian) there were buyers at £24.
