HENDERSON POST OFFICE.
NEW BUILDING TO BE ERECTED.
A new post office if to bo erected at Henderson, and the preparation of plans is now being carried out by the Public Works Department. At the present time the post office, is in the railway station, and the railway officials, in addition to their ordinary duties, also attend to the post office. He requirements of a growing district, however, have necessitated a better provision for postal business. At the instance of Mr. (.'. J. Parr, to.P. for Eden, a grant of £1000 for a new post olfico was placed on the Estimates two years ago, but owing to the war, tho flection of a buildrng was postponed. As the result of correspondence with the Department, howover, Mr. Parr was informed yesterday by the PostmasterGeneral that a new post offico is to bo erected.
