GOVERNMENT AUDIT.
CONFERENCE OP INSPECTORS. A conference of Government audit inspecters from all parte of the Dominion was hold in Wellington last week for Mm pi'rpose of discussing the questions of local government audit, the boundaries of districts, and the adoption of a uniform system of audit in connection with oil local authorities. The business of the conference was brought to a close after an interview with the Public Service Commissioners on the question of classification.
