The steamer Manaroa returned from Dusky Sound, where she -went to carry out salvage operations on the wrecked ."learner Waikare. A diver succeeded in recovering a quantity of gear close to the hull. The salvage party is still carrying on operations. It is anticipated that after the diver has made a hole in the hull no difficulty will bo experienced in recovering the Waikare's internal fittings.
