SOME GEAR RECOVERED.

The steamer Manaroa returned from Dusky Sound, where she -went to carry out salvage operations on the wrecked ."learner Waikare. A diver succeeded in recovering a quantity of gear close to the hull. The salvage party is still carrying on operations. It is anticipated that after the diver has made a hole in the hull no difficulty will bo experienced in recovering the Waikare's internal fittings. The vessel is lying on her port side and the hull is showing for 40 feet at low water,
