THE PROHIBITION POLL. Undoubtedly the man who, or the party which, can submit a workable scheme for the easing of the great and growing burden of taxation and increased cost of living will absolutely sweep the polls noxt election. The Efficiency Board, after the most exhaustive investigations, public inquiry, and many months' deliberation, decided that Prohibition, immediate and complete, is essential to national efficiency. The board specifically stated that this conclusion was arrived at "from the view point of the efficiency of the State and of the individual both during the war and after." The board declared, on sworn evidence, that to cat out the whole busi- ' ness, pay compensation, and close it right up once and for ever, would be a sound' investment, and that the cost would be early recouped in the Dominion's increased efficiency and output. There's the straight tip to a new political party. Strike out the top line on Thursday, April 10, and get that investment.
