FLEMNGTON AUTUMN MEETING.

AUSTRALIAN CUP WON BY NEW TIPPERARY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.20 p.m.) MELBOURNE, Mar. 18. The second day of the Victoria Racing Club's meeting was held in brilliant weather. The going was good. Eudois just got up and won tho Elms Handicap in the last few yards. Molyneux ran ninth. This is Eudois's first Victorian win. Whiz Bang, finishing fast, won tho Ascot Vale Stakes easily from Mr. Ernest Clarke's pair, Hyades and Sextia. The favourite, Artilleryman, ran badly. Galloping well from the home turn, the West Australian gelding, New Tipperary, won the Australian Cup comfortably from Earlborn, who won't fast over the last furlong Menin was a fair third Sauci, who was well up for a mile and a-half, ran eighth. Tho time, 3m f9jß, has been ex:elled on several occasions- Star Comedian pulled up lame- The last half-mile was run m 535, and the last six furlongs in- lm L9Ja. New Tipperary weighed in two ounces jverwoight, but the stewards decided not to disturb the verdict. The New Zealand gelding, Tararu. Jack, scored the easiest win for years in the March Steeplechase.
