EXCUSES FOE DEFEAT.
LUDENDORFF'S EXPLANATION.
DEFICIENCY IN STRATEGY.
Australian and N Z. Cab!© Association. (Reed. 5.46 p.m.) WASHINGTON. Mar. 16. An official despatch from Paris says that the Social Demokraien, Stockholm, publishes an interview with Ludendorfi, in which he says German military power has forever vanished. He attributes Germany s defeat to von Moltke's deficient strategy, to von Falkenhayn's defective direction, to the poor information supplied by the German Intelligence Service, and particularly to Austria's inability to help Germany, which was caused by the Italian army's tenacious fighting.
