TAPPING OFFICIAL SECRETS.
FORMER GERMAN SYSTEM. DESPATCHES FOR RUSSIA. REGULAR REVELATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Seed. 11.50 p.m.) BERLIN, Mm. 18. Professor Schiemann, formerly confidential adviser to the ex-Kaiser on Russian affairs, discloses that from 1909 to 1914 the Russian Ambassador's despatches from London to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, were regularly communicated to Germany. The despatches were concealed from the ex-Kaiser for fear he might make indiscreet public references to them, and thus end the leakage.
Professor Schiemann indicates the source of the treachery.
