MENACE BY TE KOOTI. .TAUEMGA EXPECTS ATTACK (From tho Herald of March 18, 1869.) The Tawanga arrived from Tauranga •yesterday, bringing 75 women and children refugees. Ail attack is expected at Tauranga to-day. To Kooti is joined by Kereopa. Four hundred Arawas, under Captain Simpson and Fox, the natnra chief have been m pursuit, of le Koo-J einco'Monday (March 15). ft is rumoured that "several persons who were attending «t the Native Land Court were surroundedMajor Hair is in charge at Tauranga, md every precaution has been take to pre vent a surprise.
