Thero was • a vory largo attendance, it being estimated that about 6000 persons wero present The feature of tho afternoon in tho Domain was the formation, in living letters, of a Celtic Cross, with the word Erin clearly shown in the centre. Ihe children, of whom about 2000 participated, performed flax drill with green and white flags, and then—before brooking formation— trod Save Ireland," accompanied by the lemporanoe Guards' Band. Tho marching of the children was creditable, the boys, of the Vermont Street school giving a particularly fine exhibition. In athletic circles the various events wero considered most successful, and a good performance was given by A. Watson, of the Garrison Artillery, who won the 880 yds and 440 yds easily, for the thud consocutivo occasion, , ~ Special provision was mado for sideshows and children's events, and dancing and basketball were enjoyable diversions.
