PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
Sir,— notice letters from returned soldiers Bpeaking of the cold reception extended to them when they come home. Various circumstances preclude such things. Also loss of time and the expense of travel prevent old chums from ever seeing each other again. I would suggest that at peace celooration time the Government bring all our returned men together into the four centres, provide food and quarters for them, and return them home again free of expense. Let the Government provide everything as cheaply as possible and let the great muster of people make the Domain ring again ana again with their cheering, and thus show our gallant defenders how we appreciate them. That would fill up a gTeat gap on the occasion of the celebration of peace. Surely our heroes have earned and deserve such a recognition! W. H. Cubkk, Veteran, late Royal Artillery.
