" Profoundly moved by the congratulations a.nd wishes which tho London County Council has addressed to it on the occasion of the cessation of hostilities, the council begs the London County Council to accept its grateful thanks. * Belgium has been proud to light side by side with England for the cause of right and humanity. The Municipal Council of Brussels is convinced that England will still stand side by side with Belgium in the execution of the tasks which peace will set before civilised nations."
