WELLINGTON, Thursday.
It was reported at the meeting of thj | Hospital Board to-day that a letter bad 1 been sent to the Minister for Public l Health, asking if the period for M J quarantine of vessels arriving from a- I fected ports could be further extended, j*. so that at leest seven days should elapa 1 from the day of the vessel leaving tha I infected port to the clearance of the boa'. It was stated also that the chairman hai -1 received a letter from the president of lb '& local Medical Association, strorgly favour- 1 ing tie extension of the quarantine to 1 seven clear day 3. . ||
