SOLDIERS' DIVORCE CASES.

QUESTION OF ASSISTANCE.

MISCONDUCT OF WIVES.

[by telegraph.—press association.]

WELLINGTON, Thursday.

The chairman of Ihe executive of the War Relief Association, Mr. L. 0. H. Tripp, stated yesterday that cases were coming under the executive's notice of soldiers returning from the war to find that in their absence their wires had been misbehaving themselves. Mr. Tripp called attention to a paragraph in the report of the Relief Committee, stating that quite. recently the committee received several additional requests from soldiers desiring to fever their domestic relationships, which were no longer possible. It had, therefore, been suggested to the Minister for Justice that the Crown should make somo provision tending to enable a soldier to meet the expenses of divorce proceeding when it was shown that he was in no wav to blame. "It is very hard on these fellows," said Mr. Tripp, "to find that their wives have gone off with someone else. We are meeting with quite a number of such cases."
