10,000 WAR BRIDES.
AUSTRALIAN MARRIAGES. LONDON, Feb. 11. Lieutenant-Genera! Monash, Director of Demobilisation, states that the grantin* of free passages to wives is causing a rapid increase in the number of marriages of soldiers. The total now exceeds 10,000. Transport is becoming a problem, and efforts are being made to secure additional ships.
