A veteran of the Indian Mutiny and « the Maori War, Mr. Thomas Mills, di« al the Auckland Hospital yes f erday, ait< a short illness. Mr. Mills, who was { years of age, was born in Manchester. I 1852 he joined the 70th Infantry Reg ment, and in the following year left ft India, where he participated in quellii: the Mutiny.
