MEDITERRANEAN SPHERE. DESIRE FOR COALFIELDS. Renter. ROME, Dec. 22. In tho Senate, Signor Tittoni, a former Foreign Minister, declared that if other Powers acquired territorial possessions in the Eastern Mediterranean, Italy must also do so. Owing to the lack of coal, Italy ought to have the prior claim to concessions in the coalfields at Heraclea, in the Cyclades. If France and Britain retained the whom of Germany's African colonies Italy should be compensated by tho enlargement of her boundaries in Libya, Somaliland, and Eriturea. Tho Premier, Signor Orlando, warmly apprcved the speech.
