GARDEN PARTY.

A successful garden party and ea]e of •work, in aid of the building fund of the Theosophical Society H.P.B. Lodge, was held on Saturday, at the residence of Mrs. Alfred Kidd, Epsom. The function was opened by Mr. Bart Kent, who spoke of the aime of the society. There were several gaily bedecked stalls, at which home-made goods found ready purchasers. For the children, there were dolls, and a large i "fishpond," in which wero hidden pretty toys. An excellent musical programme was provided by the regimental band of the New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
