PAPATOETOE ORPHANS' HOME

CHRISTMAS TREE FOR INMATES. The joys of Ynletide were brought to the children of the Fapatoetoe Orphans' Home on Saturday, when Mrs, Arthur Peel and party presented their twentythird successive. Christmas tree to the inmates, and distributed presents to them. Owing to the epidemio the celebration was 1 not open to visitors. The Anglican Bishop of Auckland, Dr. A. W. Averijl, spoke to the children and wished them the very merriest of Christmases Hid tho happiest of New Years. The function was attended by the chairman of ths h/>nv» board, Mr. C. J. Tunto.
