SENATE INVESTIGATION.
WASTE AT HOG ISLAND. Australian ajicl X.Z. Cable Association. (Rccd. 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON', Dec. 20.
A Senate investigation into the administration of the Hog Island Shipbuilding Yards disclosed that only one ship had been turned out while 50 keels had been laid at a cost of £12,000,000. Most of the work was done by sub-contractors, with little return to the Government.
