DEATH FROM CHOKING
LITTLE BOY SUCCUMBS.
SWALLOWED A PEBBLE.
A child named Albert Grant, three and a-half years old, died at the Auckland Hospital on Saturday, in circumstances which r?ccssituto the holding of an inquest to-day. The child's grandmother, Mrs. E. M. Filveira, of 36, Picton Street, Ponsonby, with whom he lived, stated to the Ponsonby police yesterday that the little boy ran into tho house at 11 o'clock, struggling for breath, and repeating " I can't get it out." He suddenly collapsed. Mrs. Filveira could not obtain a doctor's services, so had the child removed to the hospital, where it died a few hours later. Tho hospital authorities state that a large pebble was found in tho child's gullet.
