CLOSED INDEFINITELY. t NEW INSTRUCTION'-ISSUED. !•'.■■ i The order closing for one week, ending 'on Thursday neit, all theatres, public halls, billiard saloons, and other places, in the city and suburbs where the public congregate, which was issued by Dr. J. P. Frengley, acting-chief health officer, has now been replaced by an instruction which requires all such places to be closed until further notice, thus making the system here uniform with that obtaining in other parts or the Dominion. All places to which this embargo applies are specified [by advertisement in this issue, and Dr. Frengley directs that all persons concerned will accept 6uch notice as directed to them, thereby relieving the Department of considerable clerical work in a time of stress.
POSITION OP HAIRDRESSERS. I ORDER AFFECTING EATING-HOUSES The Government regulation requiring all hairdressers and shaving saloons to i close is now in force, as also is the order i requiring restaurants and eating-places, such as marble bars, refreshment rooms, and tea-rooms, to close, except between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., noon and 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. The newspaper intimation was deemed by the De partment to be sufficient, but some of th" of the latter premises kept their establishments opened for business yesterday. If this occurs to-day notices will be served.
CLOSING OF BREWERIES. ALL SPIRIT BUSINESSES, Dr. Freng'.ey issued an order yesterday requiring all hotel bars and bars of chartered clubs and all breweries and spirit businesses within, or within three miles of the boundary of, any city, borough, or town district in the Auckland Health District, to be dosed forthwith and until further notice.
