TROOPS ON THE WATER.
RECALL NOT PRACTICABLE. Asked whether it was proposed to recall New Zealand troops on their way to the front, Sir James Allen replied that no New Zealand troops were in t!;e same position as the Australian troops who wore being recalled. He had received word on November 9 that the troops on the water had passed* a port of call " All well," and he thought that they would be about at their destination.
