GRANTS TO MEN AT ROTORUA,

A meetincr of the Rotorua Invalid Sol-1 diers' Benefit Association was held on 1 Tuesday, Mr. W. Hill (chairman) stated ■ that an arrangement had been made with the Joint Committee of the Order of St. | John and the lied Cross Society at Auck-' land to pay half the cost of supplying cigarettes and tobacco to the soldiers in hospitals, the Invalid Soldiers' Bene'it Association payin; the other half.
