Advice was received yesterday by the railway district traffic manager that tho slips at Mataroa, near Taihape, would be clear yesterday in time for the North and South-bound trains to pass. It was hoped that it would be possible to resume goods traffic on Monday, but as the slip may continue to give trouble no traffic beyond pausengei trains will use the line until fur. ther notice.
