WELLINGTON, Thursday. Sir Joseph Ward, Postmaster-Goners
announces that owing to a shortness of staff, not only in Wellington, but also at other telegraph offices, there is an excessive accumulation of work, Ha wishes the public to know that only urgent telegrams will have any opportunity of reasonable de«patch until the block is removed. He anticipates that work will resume its ordinary course within a few days.
