DEATH OF SEAMAN.
ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED.
The body of Carl August Carlson, aged 53 years, a seaman employed on the barque Rothesay Bay, who had been missing since Friday afternoon, was discovered floating in the harbour, near the Central •Wharf, at 8.30 a.m. yesterday. There were no marks of violence oil the body. Subsequently an inquest was hold by Mr. F K. Hunt. S.M. Evidence was given to ,how that the deceased, a' widower, returned to bis ship at about 1 p.m. on Friday, and disappeared shortly afterwards He was on good terms with hu shipmates, by whom he was well liked. A verdict that the deceased was accidentally drowned was returned.
