CELEBRATIONS IN SYDNEY. WIDESPREAD REJOICINGS. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. Nov. 13. Untiring crowds of merrymakers paraded the streets throughout the day. Bands and processions joined in the victory celebrations. \ The hotels remain .closed for two days. Thanksgiving services will be held in the churches tomorrow. The city was illuminated at night. The Governor-General has cabled the Secretary of State for the Colonies the Commonwealth's joy at the conclusion of the armistice. < A message from London, timed 11.20 a.m. on Monday, confirmed the statement that Germany had accepted the armistice terms. Small groups at the post and the newspaper offices eagerly awaited confirmation of the news. Shortly after seven o'clock American cablegrams announced the fact; and the news spread like wild' j fire. The streets quickly filled with en* i thnsiastic crowds. ,* I Recruiting has been discontinued, and it is anticipated that all recruits now in camp will be discharged immediately.
