EXTENSION OF EMBARGO.
REQUEST TO THE CHURCHES.
All theatres, public halls, billiard si',loons, and other places in tho city and suburbs where the public congregate will continue to be closed for another week, as from to-day, in accordance with instructions issued yesterday by Dr. J. P. Frengley, acting-chief health officer, who requests proprietors to accept this intimation if not otherwise advised. Dr. irengley slated that he considered this nt-en was as necessary as during the past week in view of the progress of the epidemic. Referring to church services next Sunday, Dr. Frengley said he hoped all denominations would endeavour to make arrangements similar to those carried out last Sunday, and that at most not more thaji one service in the morning, of the shortest possible duration, would be held. He also requested that Sunday-schools should remain closed next. Sunday.
