(Received 1.80 a.m.) A. and N.Z,-Reuter. LONDON, Oct. 11. The Press Bureau announces that the Treasury has appointed a committee, consisting of Lord Inchcape, Sir Thomas Elliott, Sir Charles Addiss, and Mr. W. H. Goschen, to consider the effect of the war upon the Empire's gold production. The committee will deal particularly with the treatment of low-grade ores and how generally to stimulate the production of gold.
