A French Eastern communique states: The Allies continued to make progress northward. The Servians came into contact south of Nish with strong German forces, including Alpine corps units. After heavy fighting the Servians reached the River Toplitza, nine miles south of Nish, capturing three guns. French forces Occupied Prishtina and advanced far beyond it in pursuit of the enemy fleeing towards MStrovetia. In Albania, the Airstrians are retreating rapidly 1 , being closely followed. An earlier French report stated: On Wednesday the.French and Servians, continuing their successful advance, peached Lake Ochiotza and Svotile. , , A Servian official report states: Despite strong resistance we reached the right bank, of tho Toplitza River and the Massif of Selitchivitza, on the right bank of the Morava River. Frenoh cavalry advanced as far as Babovchnitza. Our cavalry occupied Zifchitotok. We took many prisoners and captured three* field guns.
An earlier Servian report states: We have reached the LipoVitzaKossantchitch line, 10 miles north of Leskovatz, 18 miles due south of Nish. Our prisoners exceed 3000.
