THE COMING SESSION.
PROGRAMME WELL IN HAND.
In a reference to tho coming session of Parliament, which will be opened next week, the Prime Minister stated yesterday that he understood from his colleagues that the preparation of the Government's programme was well :.n hand, and that the Houso would be alio to proceed with its work without aiy delay. Asked whether the session wa,> likely to end before Christmas, Mr. Massey replied, "That will depend upon the House itself." The result of the two recant by-elections being mentioned, Mr. Massey said: "I realise that there never was a Government that did not meet with reverses occasionally. So far as I am con& rned I am quite prepared to face the position at any time either in Parliament or out of it." Mr. Massey would not make any statement as to the prospect of a gmeral election in tho near future.
