MOUNT HOBSON SEASON OPENED. The Mount Hobson Croquet Club opened the season at the club's lawns, Bwmn. on Saturday afternoon Th* Uws were formally declared open for play by the president, Mrs. F. Clark, and the National Anthem wae sung prior to play . Progressive croquet was played, the trophies in the A and B grades, being won by Mrs. Harbutt and Mrs. Rossiter respectively. EPSOM CLUB. The Epsom crouuet lawns were formerly opened on Saturday afternoon by Mr. A. J. ScGowan. president of the bowling and croguet club, in the presence of a Urge gather ing. Miss Mc&owan payed the first MM. Prior to the games being Started tho National Anthem wasjuUß_by those present. ONEHUNOA CLUB. The Onehunga croquet lawr,s Woro formallv opened for play on Saturday afternoon. Mr, wE Evitt, mesiden'. of the croquet club', declared the lawns, open in the preice of a large j gathering A number of games were played during the afternoon.
