HOTJTHTUST VILLAGE TAKEN AND STADEN ENTERED. BRITISH ADVANCE TOUCHES THE MESSINES RIDGE. PRISONERS TAKEN NOW TOTAL OVER NINE THOUSAND. E«uter. (Kecemd 9,45 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 29. Reuter's correspondent at British headquarters, writing on Sunday evening, states : The Belgians, attacking in Flanders, have entered Staden, 10 miles north-east of Ypres, and recaptured Houthulst Village and now hold the entire Westroosebeke-Passchendaele Ridge system. From there the .line of the Second Army this morning ran near Zonnebeke, Becelaere, Zanvoorde, possibly through Houtem to the Wytschaete-Messines Ridge. The Belgians so far have taken over 5000 prisoners and we over 4000.
