PATRIOTIC SALE OF WORK.
A. sale of work promoted bv the Grey Lynn Soldiers' Mothers' >. Welfare v Committee was held in the Town Hall concert chamber yesterday, the proceeds being in aid of the fund for the erection of a sol. diers" club in Auckland. Mr. C. J. Parr, M.P., congratulated the organisers on their enterprise, and expressed the hope that their example would be followed by other districts. Auckland should not, he behind other places in the provision of & club,_ and he considered that the patriotic associations should have helped a? they did in the South. . Mrs. Parr then formally opened the bazaar., Good business was done throughout the afternoon and evening at the many stalls. An address was given in the evening by Mr. J Payne, M.P. '/'.'■
